बिना पतझड़ के झड़ रहा हूँ।

घुट रहा हूँ, लड़ रहा हूँ,
बिना पतझड़ के झड़ रहा हूँ।

सड़ रहा हूँ, गल रहा हूँ,
बिना आग के ही जल रहा हूँ।
गिर रहा हूँ, पड़ रहा हूँ,
अपने आप से लड़ रहा हूँ।
न जी रहा हूँ, न मर रहा हूँ,
बस ये समझ लो सम्भल रहा हूँ।
न चाह रहा हूँ, न मांग रहा हूँ,
क्या है मेरा बस ये जान रहा हूँ।
न हताश हूँ, न निराश हूँ,
बस जीवन के ही आसपास हूँ।
न खुद से दूर हूँ, न ही पास हूँ,
आग में जल रहे पानी की भाप हूँ।
न जुड़ रहा हूँ, न टूट रहा हूँ,
खुली हवा में भी घुट रहा हूँ।
न हँस रहा हूँ, न रो रहा हूँ,
ज़िन्दगी नामक बोझ को ढो रहा हूँ।
न व्यर्थ हूँ, न खास हूँ,
टूटे हुए सपनों में छुपी एक आस हूँ।
फिर उठ रहा हूँ, फिर गिर रहा हूँ,
बस जीवन के पहिये पर फिर रहा हूँ।
