When a structure collapses, loss of lives, time, money, resources, etc is encountered.
The collapsing of structures has become so common but no one actually bothers about it. There are numerous lives of workers getting sacrificed in such accidents. Is there any importance of their lives?
It seems that somewhere in the race of development, a phase of "negative development" is going on.
It is becoming so common and sensational yet firm steps are about to be taken by the governments (both centre and state).
If we go much deeper in the issue, apart from the illeteracy of workers and their low intellectual level regarding their own safety, we would notice that the Construction policies in India are very insensitive towards the lives of workers and the scenario of the construction site comprises of:
》No insurance policies of workers.
》Ignorance of employers towards their workers.
》No safety equipments provided for workers.
》No fire protection measures are taken.
》No control over child labour working.
》Filthy atmosphere leading to unhealthy conditions to workers, etc.

Besides technical failures by the engineers, there is a moral, emotional, philosophical and economical failure attached to every such incident or would say accident.
There is need to take this issue on the desk and sort it out soon by the governments as well as people by showing some care and support.
